The high-carbon ferrochrome market has been running smoothly for the time being.

China’s total output of high-carbon ferro-chrome was approximately 490,000 tonnes in June.

News that several major producers had withdrawn from spot trading due to supply shortages has further strengthened China’s spot ferro-chrome market, sending spot prices in the week to Tuesday June 29 to their highest point since April.

Among them, 553000 tons were exported to China, with a month on month decrease of 32.51% and a year-on-year decrease of 0.17%.

South Africa's total export volume of high carbon ferrochrome was 294600 tons, a month on month decrease of 4.72% and a year-on-year increase of 4.47%.
