[Ferro-Alloys.com] MOIL records 17% output growth in August sales up 25%
State-owned manganese ore producer, MOIL Ltd has continued its strong growth trajectory, reporting its highest-ever August production of 1.45 lakh tonnes in August 2025, a 17% increase over the same period last year.
The manganese ore producer also registered a robust sales performance, achieving 1.13 lakh tonnes during the month, marking a sharp 25.6% year-on-year growth.
For the April–August 2025 period, MOIL posted its best-ever performance with cumulative production of 7.92 lakh tonnes, up 9.3% compared to the year-ago period.
Exploratory drilling activity also gained momentum, reaching 50,621 meters during the five-month period, an 8.6% rise year-on-year.
Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director of MOIL, lauded the company’s workforce for delivering record output and sales despite operational challenges posed by adverse weather.
Last month, MOIL revised its rates for its ore grades, effective August 1. The company hiked prices by 3% for all Ferro grades of manganese ore above and below 44% content, along with chemical-grade ores.
Conversely, it cut prices by 3% for select SMGR and fines categories, while keeping the base price for Electrolytic Manganese Ore unchanged at ?2,05,000 per metric tonne.
