Ukraine’s Pig Iron Exports increased in 2012

[Ferro-Alloys.com]Ukraine produced 1.968 million tons of pig iron in 2012, rising by 10.9% year on year, according to statistics released by the metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK).
 
In December, Ukraine’s pig iron exports totaled 209,700 tons, up by 16.4% from a month ago.
 
In 2012, the country’s imports of pig iron totaled 33,900 tons, falling by 22.4% year on year.
