Baosteel expects China's vehicle production to drop 6% year on year to 24.2 million units in 2020, improving from a 11.8% year-on-year drop in January-July.
For the period from April to June, Baosteel earned 2.47 billion yuan, a jump of 60.6% from the first quarter, but still well below net profit of 3.46 billion yuan in the year-earlier period.
In the first week of September, the ferrosilicon market continued stable. The tender volumes, together with the rising tender price, boosted the confidence of the industry.
