In Henan and Shandong province, the major production areas of strip steel, mainstream ex-work price of 0.35*55 strip steel stayed around RMB 4,400-4,500/mt (USD710-726/mt). This price had touched cost line and there was little profit. As operation of cored wire manufacturers was bad, sales of strip steel was not satisfying.
