Shaw River Manganese has completed the surface sampling program at its Otjozondu Project, in Namibia.

Sampling at Areas E, S-Bend and Ongorussengo have identified significant, additional tonnages of at surface manganese lode to underpin the Start Up Production Plan. These three areas have increased the tonnages previously reported by more than 100,000 tonnes to 265,000 tonnes.

A number of areas contain manganese mineralization in excess of 36% manganese with the highest being 53%, all occurring within the top 5 meters from surface. This has greatly increased Shaw's understanding of the mineralization and will aid plans to mine, process and explore for future production feed.

The manganese lode has now been exposed along more than 1,300 meters of strike and geological mapping put the overall thickness of the manganese lode varying between 4 and up to 40 meters, and averaging more than 13 meters. Iron ore producer Atlas Iron holds 53.45% of Shaw River and is a strong supporter of Shaw's manganese strategy.
