In the beginning, Mr. Zhang Wei, manager of Shenghua Yehua, analyzed the current situation of calcium silicon industry in China.

In current time, capacity of CaSi products was more than 150,000mt in China. While the demand from steel industry was about 60,000-80,000mt. It’s clear that the overcapacity of CaSi products was close to a half. In recent year, with the elimination of backward capacity and small CaSi furnaces, CaSi capacity began to go down. However, some plants began to change to produce CaSi products, added with the increase of big CaSi furnaces, which made CaSi capacity oversupply.

Excluded the overcapacity, the application of calcium metal and composite alloys also had big impact on CaSi industry.
