[Ferro-alloys.com] After a certain period of continuous decline, metallurgical grade Si metal prices went steady in China, despite some producers slightly lowering quotations. As most producers had little intention of continuing reducing quotations, Si metal prices were likely to keep steady in a short period. Influenced by gradually steady market prices in China, export prices of Si553# stabilized, too.

By the end of mid August 2014, delivered prices of Si553# were RMB11,700-11,800/mt(USD1,906-1,922/mt) in Kunming, export prices of Si553# were USD2,000-2,040/mt FOB and the transaction prices were mainly the lower limit.
