[Ferro-alloys.com]In Aug., the operating rate of high carbon ferrochrome in Shanxi province-one major producing areas of China reduced to 45%, mainly because of the poor market condition. According to the sellers here, the sales were smoothly and most of them had no that much stock. The mainstream ex-works price was RMB6250-6350/mt (with tax by cash). 

For market trend in Sep., most of the producers here said it was quite likely for the benchmark price to decline as the supply here seriously exceeded the demand of steel mills here. Some large manufactures even said the market might be hard to recover before 2015. In the second half of 2014, many medium or small enterprises might close down for their weak competitiveness.
