In Q2, Japan's Mizushima Ferroalloy retained HC FeMn production at the Q1 level of 41,300 t, of which 20% were sold and the rest used in the company's refined FeMn manufacture. As a result, LC and MC FeMn output totalled 22,500 t.
This year, sales of HC FeMn are planned at 30,000-40,000 t and those refined material - 90,000 t.
Mizushima Ferroalloy is equipped with a 165,000 t furnace producing HC FeMn and a 100,000 tpy converter producing MC and LC alloys. The plant's capacity utilization rates are maximal right now. The output is mostly sold to the domestic market under long-term contracts. 0nly 5% of it exported.
