Last month, Kosaya Gora Iron Works produced 6,000 t of blast furnace ferromanganese (78% Mn; 6-7% C), which is 3% below July’s figure. The target for September is the same.
KMZ is equipped with three blast furnaces, but only two of them are operational, one producing HC FeMn and the other – pig iron. Manganese ore is shipped from South Africa and Kazakhstan. FeMn is shipped domestically, to NLMK in particular, and exported to Ukraine.
