[Ferro-alloys.com] According to announcement on the official website of the Commission of Industry and Information Technology of Jiayuanguan city, the inspection group led by chief dispatcher of IITD of Gansu province, together with staff of Lanzhou Railway Bureau, came to Jiayuguan city for inspection of local economy of the first three quarters. The inspection group overall inspected local economy in ways of inspecting projects on-site, listening to reports and talking with enterprises.

Leaders of ten enterprises represented by JISCO respectively introduced their own economy and focused on the difficulties and problems met in the current operation. They expressed steel products, ferroalloys and aluminum all suffered large price declines, due to the depressing economy. What’s worse, the major productive factor-electricity price had remained very high, which resulted in great deficit and low operation rate. Chief dispatcher said she would struggle to Gansu government for preferential electricity policies for local ferroalloy and electrolytic aluminum producers.
