[Ferro-Alloys.com] Given ample supply in China, it seems that imported manganese ore spot market in China would be hard to show dramatic change.

Currently, Australian Mn46 lumps are currently focused on RMB33.5-34/mtu andRMB33-34/mtu for Mn48 sand ore. South African Mn38 lumps are pricing at RMB29,5-30/mtu while RMB32.5-33.5/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Gabonese Mn 45-46 lumps are now lingered about RMB31.5-32/mtu while RMB30-31/mtu for Brazilian Mn 44-45 lumps and RMB29-29.5/mt for sand ore.

In terms of supply, it is repored that China totally imported 10.849 million tons of manganese ore in the first eight months this year, representing an increasing of 7.67% comparing to the same period of last year. Meanwhile, output for silicon manganese in China only rose by 2.4% y-o-y during January to August. According to the data, sale pressure on manganese ore in China would still be great.

In general, since price of manganese alloy may still face another downturn, it is estimated that imported manganese ore spot market in China would likely to hold steady recently.
