[Ferro-Alloys.com]It is said that China totally produced 980 thousand tons of silicon manganese in October this year, showing a slightly downtrend from the same period of last year around one million tons. Meanwhile, the total ouput of silicon manganeses in the first ten months reached 9.056 million tons according to dada from related department.

In fact, operatration rates for silicon manganese in north areas of China still kept high level in October due to comparatively convenient transport coupled with cheap power advantage, especially for Inner Mongolia and Ningxia area. Sufficient silicon manganese spot supply contributed to bidding price for steelmakers on the decrease further. What’more, narrowing profits aggravated competition among producers in these places. In terms of data, silicon manganese output in Inner Mongila totaled 105.8 thousand tons while 131.6 thousand tons in Ningxia. In Gansu, silicon manganese output reached 34.2 thousand tons.

In south areas, Guangxi still ranked the first with 270.5 thousand tons for silicon manganese, while Hunan placed the second with 129.9 thousand tons. Apart from that, Guizhou province put the third with 125.5 thousand tons and only 44.6 thousand tons in Yunnan.
