[Ferro-alloys.com]According to the statistics, in recent ten years, the stainless steel production of China had increased rapidly. Despite of the weak condition of the global economy in 2014, Chinese Stainless steel output increased by 14.27% to 21.69million tons.

With regard to the stainless steel series, Cr-Ni(300series) production achieved the fastest growth. In 2014 Cr-Ni stainless steel output amounted to 10.86million tons, rising by 71.9%than that of 2010; meanwhile, Cr-stainless steel (400series) improved by 38% to 4.45million tons while Cr-Mn stainless steel (200series) increased by 51.2% to 6.37million tons. In view of the proportion, Cr-Ni stainless proportion slightly went up as in 2010 it was 45% while in 2014 it was 50%; Cr-stainless steel slightly declined to 21% from 23% of five years ago while Cr-Mn stainless steel maintained at 30%.

The following chart was stainless steel production and proportion of China from2005 to 2014.

In 2014, affected by the raw material supply, Cr-Mn stainless steel proportion slightly increased to 29% from that of 2013 while Cr-stainless steel remained stable at 21%. Meanwhile, Cr-Ni stainless steel slightly declined to 50% from 52% of 2013. Along with the consumption of high grade nickel ores, it was expected that the high FeNi production would decline in 2015. As to the Cr-Ni stainless steel, its production and proportion might slightly decline or be consistent with 2014. in addition, as to the nickel source of Cr-Ni stainless steel production, the FeNi application might decrease while the pure Nickel and stainless steel scrap would increase.

The following chart was stainless steel proportion from 2012 to 2014.
