[Ferro-Alloys.com] After HBIS knocked down March purchase on manganese alloys, the biggest silicon manganese purchaser in south of China, Shagang Group also settled 6517 with RMB6,000/mt from RMB6,040/mt.

As steelmakers continued cutting bidding price, some alloys producers were reluctant to readjusted by 50/mt. Silicon manganese 6517 concentrated on RMB5,500-5,700/mt in north, and RMB5,800-5,900/mt in south. High carbon ferromanganese 65 focused on RMB5,000-5,100/mt, medium carbon ferromanganese 78C1.5 edged down to RMB8,600-8,700/mt, and low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7 maintained at RMB9,000-9,200/mt.

In terms of steelmakers bidding, BHIS, Hebei Jingye Group, Jianlong Group,Jinxi Steel, Yongfeng Group, Tianjin Rongsteel, Tianjin Steel Group and Shandong Steel Group all put silicon manganese March bidding price at RMB5,900/mt. Xiangtan Steel Group put 6517 at RMB6,050/mt, Sanming Steel Group settled 6517 with RMB6,100/mt, Tisco lowered 6517 to RMB5,879/mt. Jiangsu Xu Steel Group 6517 purchase price settled RMB6,000/mt with 3,000 tons.

In short, increasing pressure led many alloy suppliers to give up offer price temporarily. What’s more, some alloys enterprisers also suspend recovering operation. Since no strong stimulus on market, it is predicted that manganese alloys would likely to maintain flat in March.
