[Ferro-Alloys.com] Since entering 2014, metal calcium price was dropping on and on, from RMB19, 000 per ton to RMB15, 000. Previous years saw the output expanded, stock increased greatly, while calcium cored wires companies cut their output and tried to seek other materials for replacement, thus the conflict between supply and need rise.

Companies producing metal calcium had to cut output or halt operation to deal with the situation. At present, only a dozen of companies still operate. Affected by low-growth economy, shrinking consumption and investment need for metal calcium remains unreleased. Those companies with large stocks suffered a lot.

The cutthroat competition between rivalries continued and those with high expense were cleared out. To better regulate price and promote health development, companies hope to establish industry associations.
