[Ferro-Alloys.com] Nearly 1 month had passed since the deadly warehouse blast in Tianjin, while export of hazardous and semi-hazardous articles still not resumed.
After contact with freight forwarder in Tianjin Port, ferro-alloys.com confirmed hazardous articles such as CaSi, metal calcium couldn’t be exported and no official announcement were given by the Port yet.
Shocked by the incident, other major ports had suspended or added on efforts checking hazardous articles. Thus exports for these items were greatly affected.
It is estimated that future prices for these will surge and reflect on export expenses. It is suggested that relevant companies not to offer quotation prices at the moment to prevent a possible default and wait for Tianjin Port’s normal run.
We will keep a close eye on its latest development.
