The U.S. Department of Commerce is rescinding its administrative review of anti-dumping duties for Venezuelan silicomanganese during the period May 1,2014, to April 30,2015.
Commerce made the decision after the review's original petitioners—domestic silicomanganese producers Marietta, Ohio-based Eramet Marietta Inc. and Letart, W.Va.-based Felman Production LLC— withdrew their request Aug. 25.
Silicomanganese import duties are applicable to several countries, including Venezuela, China, India, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and, most recently, Australia (amm.com, Sept. 18).
Eramet did not respond to a request for comment. Felman declined to comment.
