[Ferro-Alloys.com]The Stainless Steel Committee, one of China’s Special Steel Enterprises Association’s branch, recently published the national crude steel industry’s statistic datas in the first three quarters, including outputs, exports, imports and apparent consumption as follows.

The stainless steel output in the first three quarters was 16,130,400t, a increase of 108,300t or 0.68 percent year-over-year, including 7,958,700t Cr-Ni steel 300 with a decrease of 276,300t or 3.35 percent, accounting for 49.34 percent of share, 3.35 percent less than the last corresponding period; and including 3,087,500t Cr steel 400 with a decrease of 326,700t or 9.57 percent, accounting for 19.14 percent of share, 2.17 percent less than the last corresponding period; and including 5,084,200t Cr-Mn steel 200, an increase of 711,200t or 16.26 percent, accounting for 31.52 percent, 4.23 percent more than the last corresponding period.

The import quantity of stainless steel was 548,300t, a decrease of 987,00t or 15.26 percent; and the export quantity of stainless steel was 2,694,100t, a decrease of 267,200t or 9.02 percent.

The apparent consumption of stainless steel was 12,048,600t, an increase of 263500t or 2.24 percent while the steel self-sufficiency reached a high level of 95.45 percent.
