[Ferro-Alloys.com] In early November, the ferrous nickel stock in domestic is about to be 270000-280000 tones, which can only feed the domestic steel market for less a month. However, the foreseeing shortage expected to support the nickel price tend to be offset by the negative demand outlook caused by the disappointing steel consumption. The statistics datas show that, in the first three quarters in 2015, the domestic stainless steel output has shrunk 2.5 percent year on year, but the full-year output may meet that in corresponding period last year thanks to the expected hike in the Quarter 4.

On the other hand, the import quantity from Indonesia has taken a part domestic market share. According to the datas, from January to September in 2015, China imported 500700 tons of ferrous nickel, up 149.94 percent year on year, mainly because the early investments in Indonesia by China’s enterprises start to pour ferronickel into Chinese market. From January to September, imported ferrous nickel from Indonesia was about 136400 tones, accounting for 27.24 percent of the whole quantity imported this year.
