Hillary Clinton, Presidential candidate in the United States of America, shared her ambitious plans of deploying a half a billion solar panels at the end of her first term, if sworn in. The Democratic leader believes that the use of solar panels can ensure clean energy in every home and also create many jobs.

Hillary Clinton said so while addressing a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She pledged that once elected she would start working in this direction and focus on reaching the half a billion solar panel deployment goal as soon as possible.

During her speech, Clinton also accused the Republicans of shying away from the climate change and the adverse effect that it is having on the health of the citizens. She urged her Republican opponents to talk to scientists and climate change activists to understand the seriousness of the situation.

On a global level, many countries are accepting solar panels as an excellent alternative to the non-renewable sources of energy. As the movement grows, it is expected to considerably reduce the pollution in the environment.

With cleaner surroundings, people are guaranteed to feel healthier. This means that shifting to solar panels can reduce the occurrence of various pollution-related disorders. In 2014, according to the statistics of the Energy Information Administration, only eleven percent of the energy in America was generated from renewable sources.

This was a miniscule figure when compared to the massive 81 percent coming from non-renewable sources. Clinton also said that the installation of solar panels would create a new structure in the economy. This in turn would generate a million jobs helping address the current issue of unemployment effectively.

Hillary Clinton was also accompanied by her husband, former president Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea
