It enjoys high reputation locally through more than a decade of development. The main products include hot metal thermal insulation agent, molten steel desulfurization agent, molten steel purification agent, MgSi alloy ball, AiCa alloy ball, MgC alloy ball, cored wires, FeSi alloy, CaSi alloy and AlCa alloy, amount to more than 60 kinds of products under five series. Its comprehensive production capacity is more than 100,000 mt.

However, it is reported that the company already ceased the production of cored wires for a period. “Currently the steel industry is in depression, many steel mills cut the cost. The manufacturing cost of cored wires is very high, but its profit is limited. Now only some of the large state owned steel mills demand for cored wires. The production of cored wires lacks of the support of demand by the small sized companies.” A source from the company told us.

Concerning export, the spokesman of the company said that they only receive the orders from the trade companies. The export destinations are Taiwan and Vietnam. The overseas demand also remains weak.

On the whole, the root causes for the company to temporarily stop the production of cored wires are the limited profit and high cost and lack of demand of cored wires home and abroad.
