[www.ferro-alloys.com] According to China´s National Bureau of Statistics, the country´s crude steel production hit a record high of 70.65 million tons in this March, due to rally in steel prices and a seasonal pick-up in steel demand.
In spite of the 2.9% increase year-on-year in this March, the country´s crude steel production still dropped by 3.2% in the first quarter of this year to 192.01 million tons, down by of 3.2% compare to the same period of last year.
In last year, China´s crude steel production fell 2.3% to 803.8mn tons, the first annual dropped since 1981.
