Materials: the price rise of cold steel strip in the major producing areas Hebei and Shandong has been continued. Reportedly, in March the global steel capacity utilization has been up, and the domestic steel mills are in shortage of reserve and supply, which promotes the price rise of the products. Operation: due to recent years of market recession, many cored wires producers chose the production cuts and even cease the production of cored wires temporarily. For example, SiCa cored wires, Anyang Fengfan Silicon Co.,Ltd has stopped the production of SiCa cored wires temporarily, now the major product is C cored wires. Because of the market downturn, Maanshan Songli Metallugy Furnace Co.,Ltd basically stopped producing SiCa cored wires.

Export: in the wake of the recovery of global steel industry, the export performance of some of the cored wires products have been applauded. The market share of Ca cored wires has been enlarged home and abroad. According to the market department of Baoxin New Furnace, currently the ex-work price of Ca cored wires has slightly decreased to RMB9, 000/mt.  Positively, the sales have been satisfactory. The tenders of last month are mainly from steel mills.

Nodulizer cored wires have met great overseas demand. Co-founded by the sino-foreign investment, Xichuan Aite Alloy Co., Ltd produces the nodulizer products, whose 90% has been exported to the overseas market. Its production is 500 mt per month. The nodulizer cored wires of Xi’an Yuanda Foundry Materials Technology Co., Ltd enjoy a high international reputation. The main export destinations are Japan, Korea and America. Now in south-east Asia, it has distributors. Probably, the market share will be enlarged in the future.

Conclusively, currently the market condition has been bright. But the market fluctuation has been influenced by many reasons which may include human factors. We have to remind the market participants to keep aware of market price rise.
