[www.ferro-alloys.com] LME nickel average price was above USD9,000/ton last week. The highest level reached to USD9,359/ton which means nickel prices rebound. In addition, the scrap purchasing prices keep increasing. Mills are difficult to have stable supply of the scrap.
Affected by this, it is expected the stainless steel wire rod prices will be increased more than USD90~100/ton. If nickel prices stand firmly at USD9,000/MT this week, stainless wire rod mills will have strong confidence to raise their prices for May.
