[www.ferro-alloys.com] According to Japan Economy, Trade and Industry statistics showed, Japan expected to produced 25.24 million tons of crude steel in 2nd quarter (April-June) of this year, 2.4% less than actual output of 25.85 million tons in the same period last year, compared with the previous quarter estimated fell by 3.1% to 26.04 million tons.
It estimates that ordinary steel demand is 18.36 million tons in the 2nd quarter of this year, 4.1% less than actual needs of 19.15 million tons in the same period last year, 2.9% less than expected demand of 18.9 million tons in the previous quarter.
