One of the China's biggest stainless steel producers, Tsingshan Holding Group (TSS) together with other companies will invest intro construction of Morowali Industrial Park (Sulawesi, Indonesia) with fully integrated stainless steel plants.
Morowali Industrial Park will include facilities that could annually produce 1.5 million t of FeNi, 2 million t of stainless steel, 10 million t of carbon steel, 600,000 t of FeCr, 500,000 t of FeMn, 200,000 t of FeSi, 100,000 t of EMM, and 1 million t of aluminum, as well as a 7,200 MW hydroelectric plant to supply electricity to the complex. According to Metal Expert's information, the FeCr plant’s commissioning is already being prepared.
According to the Shanghai Decent Investment’s report, $2.5 billion will be invested into the project, which is to be a 66.25/33.75 JV between Shanghai Decent Investment, managed by TSS, and Indonesia PT Bintangdelapan Group.
