Ning Jizhe, the vice director of the National Development and Reform Commission says, despite huge steel output of China, ten million tonnes steel is imported to China every year, which is our striving direction. By strengthening technical improvement as well as annexation and reorganization of enterprises, we are aiming to raise steel quality, make still further progress and lead China’s steel industry to become not only huge but also powerful.
