China’s steel demand is 725 million tons in 2017, up 7.7% on yearly basis. In 2018 this figure will be 730 million tons, up 0.7% compared with 2017, according to forecast of China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute.
The institute predicts China’s crude steel output will reach 832 million tons and 838 million tons in 2017 and 2018, rising 3.0% and 0.7% respectively on yearly basis. (Economic Daily)
