[ferro-alloys.com] According to the Croatia Evening News on January 10, Australia released prediction that average price of iron ore in 2018 will be 52.6 USD/MT. As the 2017, price of iron ore in 2018 will be sharp vibration.

It is predicted that export volume of Australian iron ore in 2018 will be 880 million tonnes, up 8% year on year; export volume of Brazil will be 400 million tonnes, up 5% year on year. Price of Iron ore will be more depend on the demand quantity of China. Demand from China is still strong, but from the second half of the year, Brazil iron ore will enter the market with a large scale. So, price of iron ore will be gradually reduced from the current price of USD 76.

Because of environmental pressure in China, it is expected that it will not increase the import scale, but seeking more high quality ore with low discharge pollution. However, European countries, Indian and Korean will consume new increased iron ore.
