Because of vanadium pentoxide price being firm at around RMB 180,000/MT and demand of a lower price from steel mills, profit of Ferrovanadium plants is thin, main offers of Ferrovanadium were stable and stalemated at RMB 185,000 to RMB 190,000/MT (cash-acceptance) in February. Affected by international Ferrovanadium price exceeding Chinese price and rise of offer of Ansteel, offer of Ferrovanadium in China is seem on the upward trend, cash offers below RMB 185,000 /MT is gradually decreased and offers above RMB 190,000/MT is gradually increased, offer of cash including VAT of a plant in Jinzhou District is at RMB 190,000/mt, and the plant rea at a total payment of RMB 188,000/mt for several tons recently.  

Offer of Ammonium Metavanadate is also on the upward trend, because of weak demand from its downstream before the Chinese New Year, resulting in an obvious decline of price  at the beginning of this month. After the Chinese New Year, along with increase of demand and inquiry from the downstream, Ammonium Metavanadate enterprises slightly heighten their offers.

Tenders of vanadium alloys of steel mills are gradually expanding, price of tender of vanadium-nitrogen alloy of Laigang Steel in March is RMB 282,000/MT (acceptance, 150 tons); price of tender of vanadium-nitrogen alloy of a steel mill in Anhui is RMB 281,500/MT (acceptance, 60 tons) and its price of tender of Ferrovanadium is RMB 186,000/MT (acceptance, including bidding service fee,60 tons), up to a slight extent from the prices of tender of vanadium-nitrogen alloy and Ferrovanadium last time.

In conclusion, because of increase of application of and demand for vanadium, international vanadium price exceeding Chinese price, tense supply of vanadium in China due to environmental protection and production restrict and ban on import of vanadium slag, Vanadium market in China should tend to be good in March.
