In the final decision, the specialists groups of government ensured that 23 mines passed the evaluation among the 27 mines. It reduces the risk of supply failure.
Philippine is the second largest nickel ore export country in the world.
Wilfredo Moncano, the manager of mines and geology bureau, said:”To the 4 mines that did not pass the evaluation, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will decide whether they will be closed or be given the second plan.”
