China’s steel scrap exports were at 1,600 mt in July and continued to shrink, down 99% year on year, data from China Customs showed. This lowered total volumes for January - July to 333,000 mt.

Exports of steel plate in July were down by 21.2% on the year and stood at 3.37 million mt. Exports of that for January-July lost 13.3% on the year and stood at 23.54 million mt.
