[ferro-alloys.com]Yesterday, U.S government fell into shutdown crisis. U.S stock index dropped down largely, and U.S dollar went down. Meanwhile, the falling of crude oil price affect LME nickel price. By the end of trading, LME nickel was quoted at 10875 USD/T. It was the same as the price on last Friday. Due to decreased demand in domestic market, both Russian nickel price and Shanghai future nickel price dropped down largely, and so did the price of Jinchuan nickel. The mainstream price of Jinchuan nickel was 92300-92500 RMB/T, and Russian nickel price was 88800-89000 RMB/T. Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 91500 RMB/T. It was 1500 RMB/T lower than the price yesterday.

The trading volume was restricted in domestic stainless steel market, and some steel plants halted their production for overhaul. So, the demand for ferronickel was in lower level. Besides, the falling of 304 series stainless steel affected high grade ferronickel market, the mainstream price fell down at 930-945 RMB/Nickel. The low grade ferronickel price kept steady, it remained at 3450-3500 RMB/T
