Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] Merafe Resources, South African ferro-chrome mining company said that it has concluded the negotiation with the major stainless steel producers in Europe for the fourth-quarter benchmark prices for charge chrome.
The European benchmark prices for charge chrome are at USD1.10/lb., falling by 12% from USD1.25/lb. in a quarter ago.
Also, the South African mining producers such as Xstrata Alloys have completed the fourth-quarter price negotiation for charge chrome at USD1.18/lb. CIF with with Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel, the largest stainless producer in Japan.
