[ferro-alloys.com] PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM; IDX: ANTM; ASX: ATM) is pleased to announce significant increased of Company's operation, sales and finance performance in FY18. In FY18 ANTAM's books  positive net profit of Rp874.42 billion, rocketed by 541% compared to net profit level of Rp136.50 billion in FY17. Higher net profit level was due to production and net sales increased as well as efficiency improvements which led to stable cash costs level. In FY18, ANTAM's net sales amounted at Rp25.24 trillion, a 99% increased compared to FY17 net sales of Rp12.65 trillion. ANTAM strong profitability result is also reflected from Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) in FY18 which amounted to Rp3.33 trillion, an increase of 51% from Rp2.21 trillion EBITDA level in FY17.

 ANTAM's Financial Performance Remains Solid Due to Higher Production and Sales Volume in FY18 In FY18 ANTAM has reached its all time high figure of ferronickel production & sales as well as gold sales achievement. During 2018, ANTAM's net sales reached Rp25.24 trillion, with gold as the largest contributor, amounting to Rp16.69 trillion or represent the 66% of total FY18 net sales.  

In FY18 ANTAM's ferronickel production volume reached 24,868 ton nickel within in ferronickel (TNi), a 14% increase from ferronickel production in FY17 of 21,762 TNi. Higher ferronickel production and sales volume is due to optimum and stable ferronickel plant performance in Pomalaa with annual installed production capacity of 27,000 TNi. Meanwhile, ANTAM's ferronickel sales volume grew by 10% amounted to 24,135 TNi compared to FY17 sales figure of 21,878 TNi. In FY18, ferronickel sales was the second largest contributor to ANTAM's net sales, amounting Rp4.66 trillion or equal to 18% of the total sales.
