[Ferro-Alloys.com] China’s hot-rolled coil exporters lowered their offers on Tuesday September 3 despite domestic prices edging up further.
Domestic Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,650-3,670 yuan ($509-512) per tonne, up 10 yuan per tonne. Northern China (Tangshan): 3,640-3,650 yuan per tonne, up 10 yuan per tonne. Prices continued to rise, with trading activity being described as stronger than previous days, according to a Shanghai-based trader. But some market participants are worried that the price rebound would not last very long because they think that recent increases had been driven by sentiment improved by iron ore becoming costlier upstream.
