China's customs data showed that China's finished steel exports in December 2019 dropped 15.7% YoY to 4.684 million tonnes. China's finished steel exports dropped 7.3% year on year to 64.293 million tonnes in 2019, the lowest annual total since 2014.

Russian mining and steel company Severstal said Friday its steel output and sales both fell in the fourth quarter, compared with Q3, due to short-term maintenance on steelmaking furnaces at its Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works, although annual sales remained unchanged.
