[Fellow]Agilyx rebuilds plastic recycling project

Ferro-alloys.com:Recently, Agilyx of the United States and Braskem of Brazil stated that the two sides are conducting a feasibility study on the construction of an advanced plastic chemical recycling project in North America. The project will provide raw materials for the production of polypropylene (PP). Agilyx will provide recycling technology, and the mixed waste plastic will be purchased by Cyclyx International, a raw material management company established by Agilyx in June 2020. Using a chemical recycling process, Braskem will be able to convert waste plastics into recycled PP resins with the same properties as fresh materials.

Recently, Agilyx participated in multiple plastic chemical recycling projects by providing technology. At the end of November last year, Toyo Styrene Co. stated that it planned to start production of its new polystyrene (PS) recycling plant using Agilyx pyrolysis depolymerization technology in early 2022; in September of this year, Styrene Collar and Americas Styrenics (AmSty) announced plans to use Agilyx technology is building a 100 tons/day PS recycling project in Channahon, Illinois; in May this year, Lucite International announced an exclusive agreement with Agilyx to use this technology for the chemical recycling of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) .
