Ferro-alloys.com:According to news on January 21, officials said on Wednesday that Israel and UAE companies signed a first agreement on renewable energy, and the country is steadily advancing its plan to become a global leader in this field.
Since the establishment of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates in September last year, this agreement is one of a series of commercial relations between the two countries.
The main signatories of the energy agreement are Abu Dhabi-based Masdar and EDF Renewable Energy Israel, a subsidiary of French utility giant EDF.
Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz said on Twitter: “These are the start-ups of the Abraham Agreement in the energy sector.” He predicts that this cooperation will enable Israel to become a global solar leader within six years.
The head of Masdar, Muhammad Jamil al-Ramhi, praised this as a "new era of cooperation" between the two countries in the field of clean energy.
