Vietnam Steel Association suggests to reduce steel exports

According to foreign media, the steel price continuously growing in global market. In Vietnam, steel production could nearly meet the demand of domestic market. Therefore, Vietnam Steel Association suggested that Vietnam exporters should supply steel to domestic market first instead of export, to reduce the cost and keep price in a reasonable range.

According to the statistics from Vietnam Steel Association, the first five month of this year, steel production and sales volume rose 38 percent YoY, to nearly 12 million tons, with an export volume of 2.8 million tons, which increased 80 percent YoY.
