[Ferro-Alloys.com] US ferrotitanium prices widened to USD3.25-3.35 per lb compared to USD3.30-3.35. FeTi suppliers report that volumes are good, but there is a little downward pressure on the market. In general, however, prices are not moving up or down. A small fire on Mar. 5 at one of RTI Alloys plants in Canton, OH, was incorrectly reported to have occured at the company’s FeTi production facility. In fact, the fire was contained to a bin of scrap turnings. FeTi production takes place at a different location in Canton, a company source said. The upshot is that RTI’s FeTi production was not affected.
