【Ferro-alloys.com】Latest data shows that Chinese iron ore imports in July were 88.5 million tonne down 1% MoM and 21% YoY. YTD Chinese iron ore imports of 649.0 million tonnes were down 2% YoY ie monthly average of 93 million tonnes or annualize import at 1113 million tonnes

12% MoM reduction has been reported in Chinese steel exports in July 2021 to 5.7 million tonne, up 36% YoY. YTD exports remained up by 31% YoY at 43.1 million tonnes ie monthly average of 7 million tonnes or annualize export at 74 million tonnes

But latest data shows that Chinese steel imports remained subdued in July at 1.1 million tonnes down 16% MoM but up 60%YoY. Also YTD steel imports at 8.4 million tonnes are down by 16% YoY ie monthly average of 1.2 million tonnes or annualize import at 8 million tonnes
