According to the customs statistics, from January to April 2022, the export volume of ferrosilicon (Si>55%) in China was 264500 tons, an increase of almost 2 times year-on-year. There has been a considerable increase in supply to Europe and Turkey. From January to April, the delivery volume to EU was 12500 tons (5000 tons in the same period last year) and to Turkey was 19500 tons (300 tons). This increase was due to the fact that EU producers were forced to reduce production due to the energy crisis. In addition, the significant increase in prices made the alloys available to the United States. From January to April, the shipment volume to the United States was 12300 tons (35 tons in the same period last year).

 

In April, China's ferrosilicon export volume was 75500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 63%.
