Japanese imports of lower-carbon ferrochrome (C less than 4%) fell 20.5% to 9,996 mt in the first quarter of 2013 from 12,580 mt for the same 2012 period. Russia supplied 5,907 mt, down 20.9%; Kazakhstan, 2,499 mt, down 13.6%; South Africa, 958 mt, down 30.0%; China, 442 mt, down 40.9%; and Germany, 118 mt, up 47.5%.
