Outokumpu is facing a huge bill from the long strikes.

Steel company Outokumpu calculates the guidance it has given for the current quarter.  The reason behind the decrease in guidance is the prolongation of strikes in Finland.

In total, the three-week strike will result in a 65 million euro dent in the company’s adjusted EBITDA.  According to the company’s estimate, part of this notch will only be realized in the next quarter.
 
“Outokumpu’s stainless steel deliveries are estimated to decrease slightly from the fourth quarter of 2023,” the company’s press release says.
