[Ferro-Alloys.com]On the conference, Mr Lee Qiang had made the report on the FeNi market situation and outlook. During the report, Mr Lee pointed the problems of the Chinese FeNi market, which was the capacity expansion, the slowdown of the production and selling of stainless steel, as well as the impact getting from the imported FeNi and the slowing domestic economic growth.

 

Under suppress of stainless steel and the nickel miners, the ferronickel price continued to go down. FeNi manufactures struggled to operate. They were facing many problems, like transform pressure, the weak demand, technological upgrading and trade friction.

 

In 2013, the government determined to transform the steel industry and the manufacture of high energy consumption and high pollution. Besides, for better the economic development mode, the government might not invest much funds to market this year, so many backward capacities would exit the market. To survive in the difficult situation, the manufactures should more rely on themselves for optimizing ratio of raw materials, extending the industrial chain and increasing and optimizing the services.
