[Ferro-Alloys.com]DLA awarded 349,577 lb of tungsten in ores and concentrates from its June BOA to Comsup Commodities and Global Tungsten and Powder at an approximate value of $5.58-million, or $253.16 per stu ($279 per mtu). The agency had offered 397,150.33 lb of W at the BOA. It now has only 425,000 lb of W in ores and concentrates available to offer under the monthly BOAs for the remainder of fiscal 2013, which ends on Sept. 30, 2013. The award price was only slightly higher than the approximate value of the BOA awards in April ($251.67 per stu) and in March ($250.42). DLA did not hold a BOA in May because a negotiated tender for 2.3-million lb took place that month. The approximate value of the negotiated tender award was $242.86 per stu (Ryan’s Notes, June 10, p1).
