SA Chrome Ore to China up 50% January to June – Merafe

[ferro-alloys.com]South Africa exported almost 50% more chrome ore to China in the first six months of this year, compared to the first half of last year, Merafe Resources said on August 6, when it released it first-half results.
 
From January to June this year South African sellers of ore had already sold 3.1 million tonnes to China, the company said. This compares with 4.5 million tonnes for the whole of 2012, Merafe said, quoting Chinese customs numbers that were released in July.
